
Who are we? We are a pageant for single and married women in Washington, age 18 and up. The Washington America Pageant
is a fun and rewarding experience with a great sisterhood, whose motto is

Mrs. Washington America will compete for the National title of Mrs. America. Winner of Mrs. America will go on to compete for the coveted title of Mrs. World.

Mrs. America is a pageant featuring the most accomplished married women of America. Each year, 51 delegates (all U.S. states plus the District of Columbia) compete for the coveted title which remains the first, and still the foremost competition for married women!
This renowned national competition is devoted to emphasizing that America’s 70 million married woman are extraordinarily beautiful, poised, articulate and versatile. The pageant started in 1938!
Each of the 51 contestants - ranging in age from the 20’s to 60’s - earns the right to participate in the national event by winning her state competition. These state events are under the direction of Mrs. America State Directors, a network of respected and talented community and business leaders reflecting one of the largest systems of its genre in the world.

Mrs. American was created to recognize the First Runner-Up in all U.S. states plus the District of Columbia. The Washington state First Runner-up will go on to compete at the national level for the coveted title of Mrs. AMERICAN title. The winner of Mrs. AMERICAN will go on to compete for the title of Mrs. World.

The Concept for Mrs. World has its roots in one of the oldest and most respected of all competitions - Mrs. America. That extravaganza was reorganized by David Marmel featuring a more contemporary and glamorous approach. All married women - young wives, mothers and even grandmothers - are eligible to participate. By providing this unique forum, in which delegates from around the world can come together and share a common purpose.

Miss for America was created by David Marmel in 2019. Now in its’ fourth year, the pageant is under the direction of the Miss for America State Directors, a network of respected and talented community and business leaders. Their efforts continue as a year-long effort to discover the most accomplished single, divorced, or widowed women qualified to compete for the esteemed title. Each of the 51 contestants ranging in age from 18 to 60’s years and up, earns the right to participate in the national event by winning her state competition.

Miss Washington for America will compete for the national title of Miss for America.
